Be a European Volunteer! Choose to get involved! The future is yours!

Europe is my home. The European Parliament has become my second home since I became a volunteer with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Romania two years ago.

In 2019, in the run-up to the European Parliament elections, I decided that I wanted more for Romania, from Europe and from me! Despite a strong media background and a career in television from the age of five, I believe that the biggest professional challenge presents itself when you decide to become a European volunteer, seeking to put over the message regarding democracy, freedom of expression, cross-border issues, climate change, equality and inclusiveness, digitalisation, migration and asylum, health, etc. All these issues are currently on the European Parliament agenda and are the subject of the Conference on the Future of Europe. This is what I learned from my meetings with Roberta Metsola, Katarina Barley, Guy Verhofstadt, Manfred Weber and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. In order to be a part of such events, we just need to emerge from our own bubble and seek to become involved. The European institutions are wide open and political leaders are equally transparent and open to dialogue. So choose to become involved for EUROPE! The future is yours!
